Time For a Break

When writing's a chore or frankly a bore and not just reader but writer -- snore When your Muse won't giggle or your Motivation jiggle Then it's time to ask why ~ off this hook, don't you wiggle 'Cos if your well has run dry when you gaze at the sky and neither moon nor stars elicit a 'why?" Then it's time for a break Let the others eat cake Recharge, refresh, renew, restore Head for the nearest clearwater lake Happy trails, friends! I hope to return...

I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes the muse has to snooze! Great little poem.

Take a sabbatical, my friend, and we'll see you on the rebound with your gas tank full and your flask filled with gunpowder. You are greatly appreciated here at Soup, and will be missed during your hiatus. Thanks for letting us know. P.S. loved the poem, like Andrea said, your muse was certainly with you. Stay well, GW ~ John

LOL! I was trying to think of something funny to say about 'sabbatical' coming from the word 'sabbath' but couldn't. You however, never let me down with your witticisms. Good to have you back, my friend ~ John

Andrea, I think it was my Muse's last gasp there a week ago... She needed some time off and she got it. Hopefully, she'll pick up again now. Look forward to reading more of your delightful poems. Light and Joy, Gershon

Hope you don't mind that stretched 'a day' into six days. Time to crank it up a bit again --- though not as hot and heavy as before probably. Cheers, Gershon

The lake does sound refreshing. And they let me go in without a mask! Can you imagine? The fish hardly recognized me. Heh, heh. Didn't recognize them either... Thanks, Judy. Cheers, Gershon

I'd say six days is a pretty short break, so I guess you got your wish. Glad to get away, and glad to be back. Thanks, Jennifer.

Well, I just took six days off, and I feel like a new man now. 'Vision' a little clearer. Mood, more relaxed. Inner Buddha -- content. ~ Ommmmmm

I hear, loud and clear.... Today (Aug. 2), after 6 days off, I feel much better, i.e., much more clarity in the ole noggin. Here's to you, Tim! Thanks, Gershon
