Time Flies

They say time flies when you're having fun,
but time goes by slowly,
when the quiet fills the emptiness,
flashes of the past,
flashes of the future,
we take time for granted,
we waste time complaining,
we use our time for trivial things,
capturing moments are harder and harder as we grow older,
we all have our paths to create,
while still trying to intersect with others,
sometimes it's as if we can live forever,
by holding on to time in a bottle,
but we are just fooling ourselves,
trying to trick father time to give us more,
cause we are a glutton for punishment,
but truth is,
we are all afraid of our own mortality...
