relentless clock
anchors the room
snapping as it ticks
amplified tenor
animated arms
sweep the arc
arrows point
hours passed
flashes
photographed the past
sense
explodes the seconds
henchmen trail hours
summarize
darkness
time devours
silence holds no treasure
fragrance without a breeze
sunlight looms foreboding
aft of thorny trees
life held glitter
forged a steel refrain
remembrance blotted the stain
hands of time shall chain
the player’s is script written
with title and refrain
curtains fall
silence blankets life’s vacant stage
