Time and Again

Like the sun you always there even when I look away
Even though you burn me with your light
And hurt my eyes causing me to squint
I stay near you
Though you only damage me
Complicate my life
Make me a wreck
Many moons and stars
Have shined on me
They make my presence glow
Like an Angel
I look radiant in their light
I shine so eloquently
But, you are familiar
You are what I know
Here I go again
Back to getting scorched some more
