Time and Again

Here is a symbol of my lasting love,
no longer shall you ever thirst again.
For I sent my only Son, from above,
and by your hand, he was brutally slain.
A new covenant was formed through his pain,
one body shared in the breaking of bread.
Fear nothing my child, for his blood was shed,
your chains are broken, I have set you free.
Rejoice, walk with me through the trials ahead,
but each time you eat, drink, remember me.
