Time Always Tells
Time Always Tells
Did you ever feel Jehovah had forgotten how you’ve tried
That your effort and your service went unnoticed?
Let me assure you, faithful brothers, time is always on your side
And will surely, in the end, reveal your motive.
With every day that passes that you suffer loyally
If you’ve done your best to please our god above
Be confident that he’s observed your integrity
And wishes to reward you with much love.
Have you ever wished to present a gift
To one, you hold so dear
To see their eyes light up in sheer delight
To hear them cry’ How did you know?’
‘It’s just what I always wanted’
Your joy so great, you couldn’t sleep that night!
But did you know that this is how
Jehovah feels about you?
And each passing day his desire grows ever stronger
With each faithful act, you gain yourselves
more treasures in the heavens
Soon the day will come he will hold back no longer.
Imagine the gifts that will reign down upon us in that day
Like a vessel full and overflowing at the brim
The bible says it hasn’t been conceived in the hearts of men
The things that he’s prepared for those that love him.
Time is our friend, and in the end, will always tell the truth
There’s nothing carefully hidden from his eyes
So if you endure, and keep resisting the spirit of this world
You can be sure you will receive life’s prize
