Time

Time has a way of running fast
present is not far from the past
they hold hands give a squeeze
depart upon incoming breeze.

Another day another year
time that becomes most dear
embrace as they say goodbye
 leave longingly with a sigh.

The past is in the past
gone by does not last
Present is in the now
Cannot hold past no way, no how.

This is one of my frequent ponderings, Phyllis, and I related to every word. LOVE the delivery, but time really is rudely fast and bittersweet. Great job on the topic. All the best ... CayCay

Thank you for your comment on the poem. Spring is coming in and snow is almost gone. All looks brown and grey and makes you feel down. Awaiting some greenery. love phyl
