Time

Time

Time is always on time.
You could set a watch by him.
Time likes to fly every chance he gets.
The faster he goes it’s better yet
He slows down when you want him to go fast
And then goes faster when you just want it to last.
Time likes to make an impression with an everlasting mark
Called gray hair and wrinkles and that’s just the start.
Time can be cruel and take what does not belong to him.
Your memory and memories I’m so sorry to sound so grim.
So the next time you see time running and not willing to stop
Tell him this is my day and you can just take the day off.

Nice Poem! The metaphor of time as a person who you associate with on a daily basis, is greatly expressed. Great write! Enjoyable overall. Check out some of my poems, might find some you like. Peace
