Time

This world, this life is fleeting
My heart its rhythm beating
The constant sun is greeting
The moon at its brief meeting

Time flees from me
The sun sets on me
Stars rise on me
Don’t change on me

Lips brush mine, a fleeting kiss
A promise of eternal bliss
My breath escapes me in a hiss
The echo of a dark abyss

Time runs from me
The sun burns at me
Stars fade from me
You change on me

I look as you glance back at me
Sorrow swirling in the sea
Life and love come with a fee
Your eyes cry a silent plea

Time turns on me
The sun turns from me
Stars shine for me
Change lives in me

I really enjoyed all of your thoughts and musings on time. I like the way you gave them an upbeat ending with the last two lines: 'Change lives in me.' Amen, Olivia! Cheers, Gershon
