Time

this night is our last
few precious hours for loving
time for making memories
till it’s time to part
so kiss me hold me love me
lose yourself in my embrace

I’ll remember this
for as long as I draw breath
the smell of your skin your hair
softness of your lips
bodies entwined meld as one
hearts beating in tune

moon peeps in shyly
softly sheening our bodies
as they bask in each other
completely absorbed
time stands still for this magic
moment of loving tonight

passion spent we sleep
bodies still wrapped together
never wanting to separate
total state of bliss
alarm clock shrills its harsh call
time to cry say our goodbyes

Wow. That was some loving. But, lovers must obey the scream of the alarm clock. It shouts back to reality; back to work. But maybe come again. Tony x
