Till the End

We know the day will come
One without the other by our side
Its troubling to even ponder
So one might ask, why?

I think it’s good to speak
While others can hear and feel your words
To let them fade silently into the darkness
Seems to me, quite absurd

So tell your story while you can
Let them know the love you feel
It's the greatest gift you can give
It allows the one, time to heal

So my story is your story
It's like the hand that writes the words
It's like the wet within the rain
It's the beautiful voice and the mockingbird

What an honor I want to tell you
To witness your strengths and vulnerabilities
And for you always being there
Providing comfort and autonomy

So go ahead, cry for a moment
Then smile, think of the journey we've been through
All the time shared together
Till the end, loving you
