Notes About The Poem

Till Morning Came

He was the leading dancer till morning came
with a willing partner, ne’er the same,
                          savoured the rhythmic delight
                          that flowed through the night
                                while they danced
                                            till
                                    break of dawn
                                  to raw vibrations
                              urgency of sensations
as lost in passion she called his name.
He was the leading dancer till morning came.

Paul, this poem so intrigues me.. beautifully expressed in rhythm, rhyme, imagery and intrigue; whose name did she call while lost in passion..? Maybe not his... The identical first and last lines can have two different meanings from the start to the end of your poem. Love the crossroads you present my ingenious friend. Warmest wishes ~Susan

You leave no stone unturned, Susan!! The reader is free to draw his/her own conclusions. I like it when readers find themselves at a crossroads. Once again, thank you, not only for reading, but also for your insightful musing. ~ Warm regards // paul
