Till Christ Be Formed
In our life of many changes inside and out
some seem important others do not
there’s one that’s more urgent than all
no human wisdom can bring it to be taught
This is a divine movement of grace
distilled in a sinners unbridled heart
working and moulding within this frame
God’s spirit forming a true work of art
The life of Jesus Christ himself
forming His character newly born
spiritual fruit displaying it’s source
this all takes time like a seed of corn
Make sure nothing comes before this
all things fall in it’s light to compare
for Christ Himself living within you
as in the world’s eye this is so rare
Man you are in all your being
death nor time can change you never
Christ Himself can only fulfil this so
so put on Christ the one who’ll deliver
