Tiger

I'm the tiger in the cage
Ready and wanting to get out
I scream for attention
Yet I want to be left alone
I love the dependence
But I need to depend on my-self
I slash at those who make me cry
I scare away the unexcepting
I need to play and run
I need my own space
I need to be allowed to scream out
With laughter and pain
I feel I need my dignity
I want to be loved
By a beast like myself
I'll find what I want
Just let me run and explore.
