Ties That Bind, Scars That Hurt

Ties that bind, scars that hurt
Float around in my life
Shadows of isolation sprinkle my face
Blades of power hold my mouth
Words of silence cannot escape
The thunderous ploy of the heart
Ties that bind, scars that hurt remain strong!

Hearts that bleed are hearts that feed off the weight of love
The sudden shift of emotion illuminates the darkness
The singleness of a passion electrifies the soul
Nevertheless, the cold shift of isolation keeps the mission purpose driven!
Ties that bind, scars that hurt remain strong!

I can smile now, knowing my heart is bleeding
Feeding off every abnormality and
Revealing the centrality of all hidden thoughts!
I can smile now, knowing my heart is bleeding
It is a comfort worth exploring; it is an oddity worth refining
It is a love worth mentioning and above all, it is a heart worth bleeding!
Ties that bind, scars that hurt remain strong
