Tide's Sorrow
A little girl's beach delight
Playing with waves,
writing in sand so bright
Collecting shells, carefree and light
But on a fateful day, she felt afraid to roam
The beach was violent, not calm as her home
As she left, she noticed the stores and faces nearby
But the next day, a tsunami cry shook the sky
She turned on the TV, and her heart couldn't understand
The beach she loved was gone, swept by the ocean's hand
All the shops she saw were washed away
The beach was no more, a distant memory to stay
After that day, she never entered the beach with glee
Her love for the ocean was lost, a memory to be.
