Tide Times
Hear the rush, shhhh, ahhhh,
The ocean's coming fast.
Hear the seaguls squark, croak,
Lingering on the foamy shore.
Feel the sand between your toes,
Feel the frostbite on your nose.
Oh the ocean calm and free,
May I be at one with thee.
Hear the foghorns blow, hoot,
Fishing, rigging out at sea.
Hear the bristles of the reeds,
Rustling in the morning air.
Feel the pebbles, skim a couple,
See the lighthouse, blinking homeward.
Life does eb and flow for me,
As I lie beside the sea.
Hear the rumble of the clouds,
Fee thy thumming in the sky.
Watch the waves rise up so high,
Crashing harsh upon the sand.
See the moonlit ocean shore,
See the oystercatcher dance.
My soul is boundless, like the sea
May I be at one with thee.
