Tide

In its unpredictable fury
It relentlessly returns
Crashing just to plea
That you never cease to yearn

Yearn outside the square
That the world has neatly drawn
An irresistible dare
Un orchestrated song

Song to energize
The saddest of all hearts
Promising a prize
If only one could start

Keep rocking, til you move
Push til tears have dried
Find your inner groove
Surmount the rising tide

You’ll find a new perspective
As you journey down the hill
That’s no longer neglected
Since you mustered up the will

An uplifting and melodic journey is found in your words today. This one felt good to read.

Oh yes, "Yearn outside the square That the world has neatly drawn"; this is true; we do often yearn for that step outside. "Surmount the rising tide"; and once it's done; we want to stay there forever. Well penned.
