Tidal Politics
Swing to the left
Swing to the right
The usual debacle
On election night
Steady the ship!
And hold on tight
As the boat careers
From left to right
It doesn't matter
Who wins the vote
They all are sharks
Circling the boat
Whether red or blue
They play the game
Of whale sized lies
And avoiding blame
One side comes in
The other goes out...
It's the ebb and flow
Of political clout
Brazenly presenting
As competent leaders
But in truth .....
They're bottom feeders
