Ticking For All

The road to peace has been rejected, and the road to war has been accepted. One is better than the other; one tears people apart, while the other brings them together. The choice is between love or war, and the question is what is war? War promotes aggression, and greed. It destroys people who are poor and in need. It takes away the freedom from people's lives. It kills fathers, sons, and daughters and wives. Why would people choose hate over peace? What is it I don't see? This state of affairs puzzles me. Why would we chose death over life? What is it about death that makes it right? The road to peace has been open since the first man and woman walked on Earth. It's always been pregnant, but has never given birth; it has always been fought for in every corner of the Earth. People keep saying 'let's have peace on Earth,' but people keep ending up dead and buried in the dirt. What is it that makes people comfortable in living in a state of hell, like drowning in water of a bottomless well? The day of peace sill waits for all of us to come. When this happens, then it will it be done. The clock is still ticking on the wall. It's not ticking for one, but it's ticking for ALL!
