Tick Talk

When the days stretch into evenings
When the evenings slip into nights
When the minutes pull together
Silken threads greet the sunlight

When the days span into months
When the months spin into years
With the silken moments carted
Iridescent strands will then appear.

When the threads run through the loom
When the tapestry unfolds
What might have been weak and faded
Becomes more beautiful and bold.

We are the weavers and the spinners
So each tapestry is our own
We ourselves must choose the colours
Before the edges can be sewn.

Hello Mikki, A very well-conceived couplet here. The metaphor you've built out here is quite wondrous and speaks volumes to the individual nature and quality of that each of us weaves and colorizes throughout our respective lives. This one's a very unique write indeed. A FAVE IN MY BOOK!! Cheers and Best, Gary

Thank you Gary! :) I'm sure yourself and Ingrid are disappointed with my behavior lately, I'm so very sorry.:( This I'd written for a friend, living through one of those chrysalis stages. Now I should start to weave a new tapestry of my own. Keep well, thank you for your wonderful support. Best wishes, Mikki

You cast me in a daydream loop. You spin silky smooth. ;-)

Are you really Christopher Reeves, a.k.a Kent Clark, moonlighting as Superman? I can spin a yarn, but cannot sew a cape, nor stop a run in one's leotards.:(

Computer is not fixed. A crossroads for me, I hadn't had it for an entire year yet the computer repair man thinks I should buy another. :( Apart from being a good machine, there is major sentimental value attached to this one.

Hi Daver! I'm doing fine. Sunday I managed to downsize the painting's packaging. It morphed from pretty to functional. Monday I wrote a letter to send with it. Though the parcel is gone, the letter is still here. Figures, huh? :( I'll add more to the letter, then send it off.:)

This silk tapestry metaphor is very sensuous and vivd, and the symbollic - intellectual culmination is very smart - I hope heaven has a space big enough for my tapestry to hang on - J.A.B. %
