Tibetan Takin

the golden-brown fur
distinctive musky odor
Tibetan takin
in a dense fog and forest
loves to eat the bamboo shoots.

Fantastic tanka with a backdrop of thick fog and forest, showcasing the Tibetan takin, its golden-brown fur, unique scent, and love of bamboo shoots. This depicts how the animal and the natural setting connect.

I know there are snow leopards on the Tibetan Plateau, but Tibetan is not an animal so I'm thinking this is too profound for my mind to wrap around. Doesn't mean it isn't good or poignant, just that my ignorance showed after reading it and I'm admitting it in front of God and everyone! I can live with that, might even forget it by day's end.
