Thy Will

In the midst of our darkness, we look for the Light
Behind prayers for healing, we continue to fight
Asking the Father to send one more day
Though our faith never falters, it gets harder to pray

Believing His judgement is rightous and just
While doubt tries it's best to devour our trust
Hope is an echo that beats with the heart
It's rhythm ever fading, growing farther apart

Though Mercy seems distant, we cling to His hand
For His promise of Peace that we can't understand
We know that He hears us, our sins all confessed
Still, we keep asking, but we know He knows best

And whether it's us or someone we love
Our hope lies in Him and in Heaven above
But who we were here will not fade away
For we live in each heart, that we touched everyday

Goodbye's never easy, the last time it's said
But say it with Hope, and never with dread
Then pray without ceasing in the name of God's Son
That in good times and bad, Thy will be done
