Thy Stubborn Heart

I told myself To refrain from falling For someone unfit for my heart’s satisfaction. Now, i woke up thinking of you First thought when I lay down was you. Why does my heart refuse to cease From plunging into love so sudden and intense? I hate you for talking to me You made my heart pound with glee. I hate you even more for calling my name Knowing my heart will never be the same. Oh, dear heart! Just why would you fall. I wish to shield you from heartaches and all Let this be a lesson learned Of a love that brought us pain, a love spurned.

Don't fall too hard. Not easy to get up and forget ..Poems heal though, just to write one is balm to the soul. Bravo for you.
