Thrown Away.

I am screaming,
And no one is listening.

I am crying for help,
But no one cares.

I am hurt beyond repair,
But I don't feel pain.

Like I've been lit on fire,
And I don't have any nerves left to feel.

Like my brain has had enough
And took the day off.

How is it fair that my world gets to collapse,
But I have to stay upright?

That everything I love is in the past,
But I have to keep going?

That there is a man who loves me,
But I don't know why?

Maybe I do, but I don't feel loved.
I feel like a can on the road,

Someone used me and tossed me aside.
Now I just get kicked around all day.

But I know if it ever got really bad,
It would take less than one minute to
Throw myself away.
