Through Your Eyes

Caught in a fisherman's net
                                        the frightened mermaid
                                           stared, unblinking.

                                        Iridescent eyes shone
                                          like pearls, powerful 
                                              mesmerizing.

                                             Under her spell
                                             he granted her
                                                 freedom.
