Through These Eyes

Through these eyes I have seen the beauty that life can be. Through these eyes I have seen true love in close proximity. I’ve witnessed kindness I’d thought didn’t live and that I’d never see. I’ve seen what humans can do to make a change and be what humans could and should be. Through these eyes I’ve witnessed fear and pain not just inflicted upon me. Through these eyes I’ve looked into dying eyes and seen the final scene. I’ve witnessed brutality that broke my mind and made this life something I wanted to leave. I’ve seen what man can do to man and questioned humanity! Through my eyes I’ve written words that heal the soul of me. Through these eyes I’ve seen dark change to light and fought the fight of what it is to be.
