Through the Winter Panes
I will remember you in the brightest sunshine!
And even better in the misty rain.
Or in the sounds of crunchy, Chicago snows.
Beneath our running lovers' feet!
I will remember you each bright time
I smell popcorn, so warm and buttery.
Oh, how you relished that treat!
Snuggling next to our first Christmas tree.
But, God took you home to His eternity.
Indeed, a better place!
Now, please hold that glistening door open?
So I will once again behold your sweet face!
