Through the Open Door

I was standing there and did not go
through the open door
I had every chance and still I stood
outside the open door
I could see the life I waited for
just through the open door
still there was fear so I did not
go through the open door
the voices whispered in my ear
can't you see the open door
hurry now hurry go
through the open door
fore if you don't its sure to close
your chance will be no more
and as I built the courage to
go through the open door
I heard it creak, then heard it slammed
and watched the closing door
and I collapsed and cried and cried
because i did not go
I cried until I heard a voice
I heard it say to me
you cry because you did not go
I gave you every chance
but because I love you so
I opened up a window
