Through the Eyes of a Christmas Tree
I stand among many in the forest
With long arms and pine branches
Each year I grow taller just waiting
I can feel bulbs and warm lights blinking
With popcorn and berries draped all around
I will snuggle presents by my feet
Watching tiny eyes smiling and gleaming
A star will be placed upon my head
Songs will be sung with melody's
Yet, this dream is only a dream
My Christmas wish is to be with you
Filling your house with joy and laughter
As the snow covers my branches
I see Prancers and Dancers footprints
With tracks followed from Santa’s sleigh
Alone I am again in the forest
On this,
Christmas Day
