Through It All You Will Know Me

Journey with me through
My old hell
And My old cell
Where my old self
Would stay

Come with me through
The darkest nights
Where my hardest fights
Defined my life
And where sorrow lived and stayed

See through these heavy eyes
That saw heavy times
And locked them in a heart made
Entirely of stone

Find my footsteps
That walked the broken path
The only path
The one I walked alone

Tell me
do you see me?
Can you hear me?
Can you reach the place I was?

This is the place
Angels fear to tread
The place that I’ve come from

Journey with me
Back to my younger years
To those troubled tears
And deepened fears
Before I became
This man

Journey with me
And find out why
I have become the man I am

Taste the nights of grief and pain
Where life bordered upon death
When Love is gone
And the heart is wronged
Misery was the only company
I had left

I have crossed the void
And stood in silence
Staring down into the abyss

I’ve lost myself
And lost my life
But somehow I still exist..
