Through a Looking Glass
In the corner I am sitting
watching people pass.
Some are angry, some are happy,
others anxious or scared.
Through a looking glass I watch
sealed in my shell.
I try to keep my feelings hidden
but easily I am broken.
I wish I could fly, far, far away;
up to the sky higher than high.
Look down from my perch
and see the people go by.
For in the corner I am sitting
trying to let the world go by.
Clinging with my only hope,
and hoping I can float.
