Thrill of the Sea
I venture forth, untethered from mainland’s shores
to my soul place, cradled between sea and sky
an ocean sanctuary where seagulls soar
to sail these vast waters makes my heart alive
the thrill of salt smells, rising swells, distant roars
of pounding waves, in sun’s bright rays, I’m revived
for underneath this grand horizon I’m free
to worship God who made the majestic sea.
