Threw
I Came to the edge of a ocean
looking off to the sea
Grabbed up scraps of steel
parts of old cars
and I threw them to the water below
Thinking to myself
perhaps I threw myself in too
Then I took out the urn
held it high to the shine
her last rays of sun
and I swiftly threw her
into the deep dark sea
And there she sank
to the floor below
to start her life new
as the mother of pearls
There she goes
to the eternal under the sea
where she always wanted to be
Maybe the sun will shine
and evap the water
into clouds
And her spirit rises
into the air
filling the sky
covering me as I cry
and the clouds begin to rain
to pour her love over me again
Instead I took out the urn
held it high to the shine
for her last rays of sun
and swiftly I threw her
into the deep dark sea
And there she sank to the floor below
to start her life new
where she always wanted to be
as the mother of pearls.
