Three-Story Pie

Whipped meringue piled high
Underneath the rest of the pie
Layer upon layer pleases the taker
Mother the best pie maker

Underneath the rest of the pie
Vanilla custard soft and yellow lies
Mother the best pie maker
Now the recipe in memory has died

Vanilla custard soft and yellow lie
Layer upon layer please the taker
Now the recipe in memory has died
Whipped meringue--piled high

you make your picture poems so easy and wonderful to read. the way you write the story without saying what actually happens to the mother with the best pie. -Always&Forever Lynette

This reminded me of my mom's homemade pies. They were the best. I remember the neighbors always complimenting her on her baking ability. Thanks for your kind words on my limerick. Susan

Reading your poetry today has been a yummy pleasure, Sara. Thank you for sharing your words. Keep writing. And thank you for your comments on my poetry as well. Have a super Day! (Try swirling lemon pudding with vanilla pudding...maybe that was how she did it...Smiles. Now, I want to try it. But with cool whip!) Lovingly, Dane Ann
