Three Wishes

Three wishes I will treasure
If you give them to me
And first I ask for talent
For I have none you see

And then I beg for foresight
Instead of hindsight I have now
It would be nice to look ahead
And then to take my bow

Then I need resilience
To get up off my knees
For without talent or foresight
I always just say,"please".
