Three Wise Men

Three Wise Men.
      For James from O’Pop and Nanna 2021

When James was born, three wise men 
were waiting there with pride
to help him start, his new life
and be always by his side

To teach this brand new member
the things which he should know
and be part of the family
as through the years he’d grow

The oldest one was O’Pop 
who would try to teach him fun
and about important things
now his new life has begun

The second wise man, he was Pop
knew about cars and tools
and even walking backwards
a trick not meant for fools

The third wise man was Dad
who would teach him right from wrong
and football, wrestling, and judo
so he would grow up straight and strong

James would make his own life
learn new things, and more
but remember the teachings, 
of the three wise men
who had done it all before.
