Three Things To Take
A deserted isle is where I’ll be
For what will seem an eternity
These three things will I take
For ten years to make my fate
A pot in which to cook my food
Something I hope to suit my mood
I’d hunt or fish to catch this fare
I would not worry or have to share
A knife to protect myself and home
As I will be so all alone
This will come in handy too
For making things to get me through
The third item I would choose
Is something I’d never want to lose
My bible though it is old and worn
Has guided me since I was born
