Three Kittens Face a Tom Cat
Three kittens played outside one day
While Puggy, the dog, stayed inside.
They ran and romped, played hide and seek
And practiced climbing trees.
They had some fun chasing around
One another in fresh mowed grass
And jumped up high at butterflies
That neither one could catch.
They played all afternoon in fun
But then upon their fence appeared
A big old cat…looked like a Tom
And didn’t look friendly.
He jumped down off their fence just when
Their dog Puggy had been let out
Who chase the Tom cat from their yard
While they all climbed a tree.
The kittens were all very glad
That someone had let Puggy out,
But, stayed up in their tree until
Puggy got called back in.
