Three Keys
Three chambers of my heart allocated to
my husband
my son
my parents, brothers and sisters
My chest feels heavy at times
the walls continuously expanding and housing
deepest and darkest secrets
brief confessions
celestial ambitions
inane fantasies
fathomless consternation
wrapping all in impenetrable film
securing them under lock and key
with no possibility of compromise
The tiny keys I guard with life
Isn't trust what family is all about?
