Three Fish

Went on a fishing boat
   Caught three fish
Bested my friends who
caught nothing
   The day passed in a
kind of haze
   Didn't even drink a beer!
but was happy with my 2 flounders and one striped bass
My fish were tossed back into the water
   So they could go on
with their aquatic lives
Answer the call of the ocean! For in it lies the secret to life!

A nice little tale that flickers before our eyes. Well done, and may all your desires swim free.

A kind of reincarnation? Maybe a trinity allusion? Good thought provoking stuff. Love, daver

Yes the ocean gives us so much and still we foul it, we have to be one of the only animals that fouls it's own nest? ANYWAY!!! so glad you enjoyed your day! Thanks so much for reading and commenting on my verse. Light & Love

It truly does. I have always loved the ocean, the sounds, the smells, the warmth of sol's rays upon my skin. Beautifully done!

Matthew, that was a nice thing to do, tossing them back. I don't understand fishing! Anyways, it's nice seeing you on the new page list. I have not been on as much.. However, today, I found myself writing a poem. Hope to see you around my pages....Linda
