Three Days Ago

He just came back home
Three days ago
Yet nothing has changed
This I do know

He stayed home one night
And then he was gone
Back to his friends
Where everything’s wrong

The drugs are there
And that’s why he’ll stay
They mean more to him
Than I do this day

Perhaps in time
He may understand
It takes hard work
To act like a man

It takes courage and strength
To do the right thing
The easy road
Leads to nothing
