Thousand Watt Smile

This neighborhood young girl I know has reached her life’s terminal very early, with the rogue cancer cells creeping in her lungs, taking away the wonderful world from her. Floating on comatose mist she hears her breath say ‘fight on until you reach the edge of hope’. She tells mother, ‘freeze me like you held me in womb until they find a cure for me. I would then emerge from the spell of hibernation as a pristine bud in the gorgeous garden of my world’. With a thousand watt smile flickering on her frail face she closed her eyes to drift into dreams.

This a sad realisation of the sweet innocent smile was there to the end. Congratulations on your placement in the contest.
