Thoughts(Free Verse)
The stars shine brightly
sparkling like jewels in an inky sky,
The full moon is out tonight, its white light
Making night almost brighter than day.
I walk slowly now-musing
About the secrets of our Universe-
What terrible energy drives us
Straight from God's mighty heart.
I am thinking of how I loved you,
How your smile made my heart skip-
Your voice so soft and sexy , made me glad,
I miss you darling, like I always have.
We were close once more in dreams tonight,
I heard your words and felt
the warmth of those beloved hands,
We were laughing as I awakened.
Slowly, the red dawn appears
as night turns into day,
The beauty of the sun rising
tells me this will be a great day.
