Thoughts Tip Toe

Still connected I feel you
How can the one that hurt
heal the one that is hurting

My saddened journey
no longer running
My thoughts tip toe

Carefully painfully
feeling each step
So much to share

My heart is barren
nothing in or out
a void full of doubt

From the vinegar you gave
only the sweets I have saved
I neither love nor hate
What will become my fate...

Sharon, a deep poem here that you have penned. I like all those things CArolyn was telling you below here. Also, if and when the "hurter" feels remorse, it can be sweet to begin again!

"From the vinegar you gave, only the sweets I have saved" What an incredible line, Sharon. When someone leaves us behind, there is usually a lot of animosity at first, but it seems you have reached the point where you are just coming to terms with this loss. Eventually we reach a point where there is neither love nor hate in our hearts, but it's hard to open up to a new relationship. Tremendous emotion pours from this poem. Excellent work. Special meaning for me, so it's a fave. Love, CD
