Thoughts On Wealth

As I fret o’er finances I sometimes daydream ‘bout the chances Credit companies would let me be If only I win the lottery No more cares about a bill No more worries ‘bout gettin’ ill House and boat in the country If only I win the lottery Daughter on dope in a haze Wife is lonely just a faze Son would end up in juvie If I would win the lottery I have my daughter and my son I have my wife I have my fun I have a home and poetry I have enough ‘til eternity I will keep on paying bills Thoughts of wealth just give me chills I know I’m blessed I know I’m free And I sure don’t need that lottery

Welcome to PoetrySoup Jeff. I know this is a late welcome but, I have had some very pressing matters going on. I hope to be back and at full speed in the next week or so. Until then please keep writing and sharing your poetry. Love, Carol

This brings to mind the song from "Fiddler on the Roof" titled "If I Were a Rich Man". You have decent descriptiveness and rhyming in this presentation.
