Thoughts On My Death
The air
It breathes life to my dying lungs
As new days are greeted with anticipation
I prayed to just see tomorrow and the new sun
Each new morning I smile, though pained
My body is weaker but my heart it is thrilled
In knowing I can see you again
You smile, but it’s obvious, you’re hurting
Do not cry, I smile today, today, yes now
You can smile with that as well
My life will not end, oh loved ones
But just start a new stage
And I will prepare that stage for you
So, being that I am here, now, at this moment
Tell me, how can I have it ready for you?
I smile as I go to sleep, for if I die this night
I am ready to greet my new role
I am ready, for tomorrow will be mine eternal
