Thoughts On Being "the Other Person"

The many things I love about you have nothing to do with "all we've been through together",... it's the lack thereof. You're not the one that walks through the door and says, "Hi Dear, I'm home", instead, you pop in unexpectedly and warm my heart from day to day. You don't have brown eyes. Your eyes are blue. When you touch me it's because you truly want to,... not out of habit. When I respond, it's a feeling I can't control. Not something that I have to try for. There's another one in each of our lives that we have those feelings for, but in a time when I could think of nothing but hard times, you came into my life. Now all I can think of is you! We remember passionate feelings about those we share our lives with,... but the beauty in being part of you now, means, I don't have to remember. It's happening before my very eyes. Is it possible to love two, we ask ourselves? It must be! In different ways. Copyright: October 27, 2005
