Thoughts of Spring

Magical fields thought brown and dead
Morning rays spy vines as they shed
Winters old cloak for rose's red

Insects shyly commence their song
While birds brazenly sing along
With the toads croak deep and strong

This renewal happens each year
Still amazed when it does appear
Winters hold too tight I fear

Springs rebirth my heart does embrace
Doubts and worries seem out of place
Touched by the sun's warmth and grace
