Thoughts of a Wheelchair Man

Riding off into the sunset
Sweet thoughts of you are lingering in my head
A smile is not too distant
To charm you I used sweet lies
Every day I wake up next to you
I can look forward to blue skies
You are the only truth about me
I came to realize
As I look across the room
In your eyes, I see, forever
I caught an angel flying low
Turn around bright eyes
My hands feel like putty
Stroking the keys of the keyboard
Typing the next line about you my lovely wife
It’s like falling in love all over again
You are my lover and my friend
Thoughts of a wheelchair man
Hopelessly devoted to until the end
